About Us

We have been processing cattle at Treburley since 1977.

Our Vision

We want to be the foremost independent procurer and supplier of the finest Cornish and West Country Beef.  Supplying customers that desire a sustainable quality product and who wish to assist us in working with the primary producer.

Our Mission

We want Jaspers to be the name when it comes to supplying Cornish and West Country beef products. A name that stands for honesty and integrity. A family Company that cares; from market to supermarket and from gate to plate.

Our Business

All livestock are purchased within the West Country area (predominately Cornwall & Devon), of which a large proportion of suppliers are Farm Assured.

We then sell to numerous wholesale, retail and manufacturing outlets; who in turn purchase the beef sides and quarters from the Abattoir and primal cuts from the Cutting Plant. All products are sold in a chilled state which are then distributed by our own fleet of refrigerated vehicles.

To maintain cutting edge performance we have invested heavily in Information Technology to ensure maximum control over the production process and provide accurate traceability reports. The Software Package used has been developed specifically for Jaspers by our in house I.T. department.

We strive for quality and have membership with the following organisations:

  • PAI UKAS
  • Assured British Meat (ABM) Scheme
  • Soil Association Organic Standard
  • DEFRA Beef Labelling Scheme
  • EBLEX Quality Standard Mark
  • Association of Independent Meat Suppliers
  • Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA)

We realise that meeting and excelling in these Industry Standards is not everything.  With the increased publicity over Food Miles and Environmental Wastage, we understand and take great care in how our company operates within the Environment.  Please click on the following links to find out more.
