Statement
We are an established and successful meat production company supplying quality beef and lamb to the UK food industry.
Concern for the Environment is a key part of Jasper’s business strategy.
Jaspers will work closely with all relevant statutory bodies to endeavour to meet all applicable legislation and will seek to make continuous improvements to our environmental performance.
The Directors are committed to the prevention of pollution and good management practice in connection with all our business activities, to achieve our commitment to the environment we will further strive to:
- Continue to improve operator performance by supporting and maintaining an externally certificated environmental management system
- Operate within all legal obligations, including the control and disposal of animal by-products
- Prevent pollution by monitoring and controlling interactions with the environment
- Minimise and manage our energy and water use
- Increase onsite recycling to reduce quantities of waste to landfill
- Support local purchasing where possible
- Ensure that all of our employees are informed and aware of their own responsibility towards protecting the environment and to provide training to allow them to be most effective in achieving this
